Lol, do people that say the Cyber truck is fantastic and that everybody is going to buy one, do they even know how long that thing is? Sorry to interject facts

I don't get these people attacking Doug, he's just giving his opinion on what he knows about the CyberTruck NOW. Leave Doug Alone!
Criticizing him for his OPINION on a truck that's not even in production seems kind of hypocritical.
What makes anyone else the Cybertruck expert? What makes them able to criticize Doug for something they know just as little as he does.
He's going off the specs as they are today. Which could change or not. So his OPINION might change in 2 years after it's released.

If the top-spec model cybertruck which is supposed to get 500 miles to a charge can give me a least 300 miles pullying a 7500lbs trailer before needing to charge, then I think it's a deal! Who the hell wants to drive 3 and 1/2 to 4 and 1/2 hours Non-Stop? What a lot of people are not mentioning is that even diesel / gasoline pickup trucks get greatly diminished range when towing at their top ends. The only difference is the interstates were designed with gas stations to allow quick refueling. It's not uncommon to see a GMC Sierra, a Ford F-150, or a tundra who's miles per gallons are usually in the teens to low 20s, drop into single digits when towing heavy loads long distance, so if you're buying the top-spec model and plan on Towing and 8500 lb travel trailer on a 400 Mile Road Trip, just let tesla route planner guide you to a charging station every 250miles. I doubt you would regret your purchase! I think Doug has been paid off by OPEC!

If someone gets in an accident with this vehicle "bulletproof and a tough body panel". Wouldn't the fire department have a huge problem getting in the vehicle if the individual is unconscious?

Your price comparison is laughable. My buddy bought a fully loaded Silverado 1500 ltz in 2018. The final price? A tick over $73k.

Why does everyone care about is to convince other it this truck is good or not? If you don't like it or if you do, either way, why spend so much energy convincing others? Some groups hate Tesla and never even tested one only YouTube options from others and the fanboys think no can touch Tesla. Drive the Tesla yourself and come up with your own options.

I actually think the CyberTruck is a good value if Tesla can deliver on the promised prices, but I don't believe they will ever hit the 39,900 price target. Nobody who needs a truck for work or to haul things will buy a CyberTruck. I do believe the CyberTruck will sell very well.

My $0.02: Never would I ever. But... there is a certain interest in today's "heavy duty" truck market that goes beyond capability. The premium trim packages being offered, combined with some insane aftermarket options (big shiny wheels, lift kits etc) , in my opinion, transform the ol' pick-em-up-truck into a luxury vehicle. Many of which will not see a spec of dirt, haul more than a chest of drawers or tow more than a jet ski. This is the market that Cybertruck will attract.

always thought doug was aesthetic sensely challenged and this video proves that. this is a beautiful car so beautiful that the humanity will use this car as a restarting point for the cars and trucks afterwards. i bet tesla will increase one more connection point to make a flat roof by the time it reaches mass production though.

He went wrong when he started comparing the Cybertruck to heavy duty trucks like the Silverado 2500HD. He said it himself, the average LIGHT truck on a lost cost $50,000. That's what a mid-level Tesla Cybertruck costs and they're already equipped with most options. It is stupid to company a heavy duty truck to a light truck because of base-price differences considering two things: 1. The base-model Chevy has literally no options. As he stated, they're usually around $50,000 so pricing isn't that similar and a Tesla is a high-end, luxury car. 2. Comparing two models from different brands is one thing but I have always loathed when someone tries to compare a BMW X5 to a Chevy Suburban. Does NOT compute. This is stupid and he missed the mark and I don't even like the Cybertruck.

Doug did not compare the right 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck trim packages to the assumed based cybertruck. Also, if you are going to compare value you would need to remove $4-7k on fuel savings over the ownership life of the truck.
I’ve seen assessments done by others that nearly all showed at worst, the same price. At best, a significant savings with the cybertruck.

Interestingly, I recently sold a Ford F250 (2003), and I've really been missing having a truck. I was planning to eventually get a model S for a daily driver (trucks really aren't great fun to park in the NorthEast), but I think I'll wait and get the cybertruck, which is a bit of both. I DO very much care about how much it can tow, but realistically, I only need about 100-150 miles of range at any given time, so this works out. Yes, I ordered the tri-motor.

Also, to be honest, a well appointed light duty pickup (think Lariat trim) can EASILY run into the $50k range.

If you take a base model Chevy Silverado and compare it to a mid-level cyber truck? Of course it’s going be more expensive because it’s the mid-level. You’re sitting up there trying to confuse people and everybody can actually see it. You compare a base model with a base model and the fact is a base model cyber truck comes damn near completely loaded and the Chevy Silverado comes base it’s a single cab, 2 Will Dr. Towing capacity you’re not gonna get anywhere near the gas mileage even in a gasoline 1 ton Dooley or three-quarter quarter ton either. Something you keep leaving out you’re going to get in the teens because I have one and I told 10,000 pounds and I’m lucky to get 15 to 12 miles a gallon. Your argument is so biased and you’re sitting there gaslighting these people. And once again most people do not tow 10,000 pounds I sell trucks every day and half for 23 years and I can tell you most people buy trucks just for the luxe in the make their weekend trip to Lowe’s or a Home Depot which is definitely more than what they actually need. They want to reduce carbon footprint, save on fuel and maintenance, and move the 21st century. Ignoring the ELECTRIC side of the cyber truck, is being light years away from the point.

Doug, you're comparing price of average truck that has been on market for hundred years with a brand-new technology, 2.9s 60Mph electric truck that has a adjustable air suspension, everything is contained and operated from a tablet and not some traditional display that shares software with toyota. Price is laughably low for an independent built truck that has such features.

*"EVs are more efficient than gasoline vehicles. Electricity prices are also generally much more stable than gasoline prices. On a national average, it costs less than half as much to travel the same distance in an EV than a conventional vehicle."*

A fraction of the cost to run and extraordinary functionality, fit anything you like to that lockable stainless steel bed, no more bed space needed for expensive, bulky and noisy generators and air compressors and no delicate paintwork. Better ground clearance and it lowers for loading. Of course range is lost when towing but the same is true of gas trucks. A Model X loses about 40% of range with a streamliner and so does an F150. We can probably expect better drive train tech in the CT.
